First Alert Forecast: Breezy trades and limited showers are expected this weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Trade winds will build in speed throughout Saturday and Sunday. Breezier trades are expected this weekend, with the potential for some wind gusts to reach 25 MPH out of the east/northeast.
Limited showers are expected this weekend. Some windward and mauka splashes are still possible as moisture rides along the trade winds, but overall the rainfall pattern will be drier.
Surf on north and west-facing shores is seeing a boost as a small country swell approaches the island chain Friday evening. This swell will be short-lived and the surf will remain below high surf advisory criteria. Expect the swell to decay throughout Sunday and Monday.
